Yay! Chapter 1 is here with Oliver's POV. I finished something!
Chapter 1; Oliver[]
It was a cool, brisk morning and Oliver jumped up at the sound of his twoleg. The window was open and the sound of breakfast cut through the air. His friends were waking up to the same sounds coming from inside. He took a deep breath and shook out his orange pelt. A white and gray tabby was padding up to him. “Morning Oliver!” Booger meowed, “Hurry up, breakfast will be ready soon!” Booger dashed away. Oliver got to his feet and raced through the entrance flap. “Can’t catch me!” he called out as he passed Booger. “Oh yes I will!” Booger cried as he put on a burst of speed. They zigzagged around objects and cats till they reached their twoleg. Oliver dug his claws into the ground but it was too slippery to stop. He slid across the floor before crashing into his twoleg’s leg and falling on his back.
The twoleg let out a startled squeak and looked down at Oliver. He smiled sheepishly up at her. His twoleg scooped him up and set him on top of the rock she was making breakfast on. His twoleg had gray curly hair and warm brown eyes. Twump. Booger landed next to Oliver on the rocktop and sniffed the food. “Mmmm it smells like chicken!” he purred excitedly. Booger started jumping up and down. Oliver opened his mouth to say no one would think they're 7 moons old if he acted like that, when Maggie walked in. The brown and white ragdoll was one of the oldest cats anyone knew, aside from Isabella, she was almost as old as their twoleg.
“Booger, Oliver! Can you do me a favor?” she mewed. “Sure.” Oliver jumped off the rocktop. Booger looked down skeptically, “What is the favor?” he asked, glancing back at the breakfast which looked almost done. “I need to find Ash Ocean is caterwauling all over the place and no one is getting any sle-” A loud yowl interrupted her,
“AaaaAAasasasSSshhhHHhhh!” Oliver flattened his ears and crouched low to the ground, but Booger, being on the rocktop, fell out the window. “What are you doing?!” Two voices echoed up from behind the wall. Maggie turned around, “I’m going to tell Isabella, Titan, and Touloula breakfast is ready.” she said and dashed away. Oliver peeked out the door into the backyard, two she-cats were glaring at Booger. The white she-cat with blue-grey tabby patches and golden eyes,Tika, was licking her tail like it was a newborn kit. Ginger, the ginger cat with a white muzzle, stomach, and paws, was interrogating Booger. “Are you okay? Did you fall? Ash is probably off somewhere getting a mouse for Ocean. She doesn’t need to find him.” “What’s for breakfast?” Tika joined in. Oliver padded up next to Booger, “Breakfast is ready!” he meowed. Ginger and Tika got to their paws and padded to the door. “Are you coming?” Tika called as she padded inside. “Yeesss.” Booger replied.
Oliver walked through the door, Booger next to him. Is this what having a family feels like? With people you know all around you? Oliver thought. All around his friends started eating, Touloula was eating with Titan who had his sock safely pressed under his paws. Millie and Isabella were watching Herbie sit down next to Titan when a clatter rose from behind Oliver.
Oliver and Booger skidded around. Ash and Otto had knocked over a jar. Otto’s usually curly fur was sticking straight up, and they both looked as if they’d seen a ghost. “Otto! Ash! What happened?!” Oliver asked, Booger and Oliver ran to their friend. Ocean followed Ash as he sat on a couch. “There… there, was a … a dog. But it wasn’t like…like a normal dog. Because. Because it talked!” Ocean exchanged an uneasy glance with Herbie, her father. “It’s true! I was there!” Otto piped up, “It told us we were next. Not just me and Ash! He knew your names too!”
The older cats started murmuring to each other. Oliver caught Touloula looking at Otto and Ash and shaking his head. Herbie spoke up, “What if what they say is true? What will we do? Stay where the dog knows we are, or do something about it? If I am correct, Isabella wouldn’t want anyone hurt over what we had thought was nonsense.” he looked at Isabella. The old she-cat nodded. “I agree with Herbie, dogs should be taken seriously, so I’ve decided we should do something I left a long time ago.”

“We’re going on a queEst a quEest!” Otto, Booger, and Oliver sang as they danced around Herbie. He rolled his eyes at them. “You kids better be careful since you three, Ginger and Ocean are the only ones going downtown.” Herbie said grumpily. Ocean and Ginger had already said their good-byes and were trying to smuggle Ash into their group. Tika, Titan, and Maggie were going to look around the other neighborhoods for any sign of the dogs while Touloula, Herbie, and Isabella waited for it here.
